Outdoor Summer Wedding at Prospect Park Boathouse

As NYC-based wedding planners who have worked at countless venues throughout the city, we believe there is something undeniably romantic and timeless about Prospect Park Boathouse. It is an iconic yet charming venue that offers a quiet intimacy, feeling worlds away from the energy of the city, no matter the guest count.

After a relaxed morning getting ready at The Carlyle, our couple exchanged vows by the lake in a traditional Jewish ceremony. A whimsical yet structured chuppah of lush greenery and soft white florals framed the ceremony, blending beautifully into the surrounding landscape.

The celebration flowed seamlessly into an outdoor cocktail hour on the upper deck, followed by a candlelit reception indoors. We love the natural progression of events at Prospect Park Boathouse, allowing couples and their guests to experience each part of the venue while moving effortlessly from one moment of the celebration to the next.

Another highlight at the Boathouse is when the golden evening light begins to pour through the vast windows, casting a serene glow across the entire room. Long dinner tables were adorned with elegant white florals and warm candlelight. The design was refined and classic, allowing the architecture and natural light to speak for themselves. One of our favorite details was the macaron cake from Ladurée- a playful, personal touch.

From a waterfront ceremony and dinner by candlelight to, of course, an energetic dance floor, every element came together for a summer evening in Brooklyn that felt straight out of a classic rom-com. Cheers to our couple & their love, and to many more beautiful Boathouse weddings to come.
