Becca & Tyler’s Summer Wedding at the New York Public Library

Becca and Tyler’s wedding was an unforgettable celebration at one of New York’s most iconic venues. As New York City-based wedding planners, it was an honor to plan and design a NYPL wedding, as it is one of New York’s most storied venues. This summer wedding was planned meticulously over two years, a labor of love and endless decision making that came to life so seamlessly. Becca & Tyler had an overall classic and elegant wedding aesthetic that blended in beautifully with the ornate, historic detail of the library. They included personal elements and details that were thoughtfully curated to honor both their city and country backgrounds.

Their day began on 5th Ave. at the Andaz Hotel, located conveniently across the street from the library. It was a relaxed morning, as the couple and their closest friends all got ready in the same suite; easing their nerves and enjoying a full day together. With the library closing promptly at 6:00 p.m. to the public and a ceremony time of 7:15 p.m., a talented vendor team and flawless coordination was crucial for a seamless transition from public space to private celebration. After some iconic portraits on the steps and plenty of tourists unable to take their eyes off the soon-to-be newlyweds, the wedding ceremony took place in the iconic Astor Hall, featuring a lush green arch with crisp white florals. And as we mentioned, the glowing candles lined the steps, which greeted guests with a warm ambiance and created a stunning backdrop for portraits post-”I Do”.

A classy cocktail hour was held in Astor Hall with signature drinks and artfully crafted hors d’Oeuvres. The couple’s reception took place in the Bartos Room, with a custom dancefloor, where the soft candlelight, and greenery which grounded the room and added an organic touch to a charming space. Personal touches were sprinkled throughout, and every element was a testament to Becca and Tyler’s shared vision for an elegant celebration of their love story in one of New York’s most iconic landmarks.
