Cristina & Cory’s Multicultural Wedding at Brooklyn Botanic Garden

As New York City wedding planners, a wedding at Brooklyn Botanic Garden will always bring us joy. This spring, we had the honor of bringing Cristina & Cory's heartfelt, personalized wedding to life at this classic New York wedding venue. This couple always had a vision to honor both of their families & cultures, so weaving unique, meaningful wedding details and rituals throughout was non-negotiable from the very start. The result was an elegant celebration that was so personal and a true reflection of their love story.

After a peaceful wedding morning at a nearby hotel, the couple then shared a heartfelt first look tucked along one of the garden's quiet pathways, and the portraits that came out of that moment are some of our favorites yet.

The ceremony unfolded inside the Palm House, surrounded by their friends, family, and an abundance of cherry blossoms glowing in the golden light. Cristina & Cory centered their vows around both Jewish traditions and a sake ceremony to honor Cristina’s Japanese heritage. This was a thoughtful way to incorporate customs from each family. It was a multicultural and family-oriented wedding, where every detail was chosen with intention, and every moment meant to bring two families closer together.

One of the most special moments came before the ceremony began, when we arrived to find the cherry blossoms at their absolute peak. Choosing an April wedding, it was the couple’s hope that they would bloom in time, and we were all thrilled with their appearance on the wedding day. Beyond their beauty, the blossoms also held special significance to the couple's heritage, making the setting even more meaningful.

As guests moved into the reception, the cherry blossom wedding decorations carried their story forward. Over 1,000 handmade origami cranes by Cristina’s mother served as the escort display and were thoughtfully woven throughout the Chuppah and floral design, while a palette of blush, green, and ivory echoed the spring gardens. The couple also took the time to handwrite notes for every guest, which was such an intentional detail that meant a lot to their people.

Set against one of New York's most romantic backdrops, Cristina & Cory's Brooklyn Botanic Garden wedding was a heartfelt celebration of love and family. We will be smiling about this one forever. Cheers to C&C!
